I enjoyed myself thoroughly but soon became aware that it was important to have my husband there to discuss the more technical aspects of the story. I decided right then that I must always invite him to a book signing.

Men's reactions are especially fascinating. One questioned my saying "we" when discussing our war experience. I think he did not understand why I would consider myself almost as much a veteran as my husband. Others have commented on how little they understood their wives' experiences until they scanned or read my book.

It's wonderfully satisfying to have readers interested in my book. I can't wait to do more.
